Today I learned in theory class about intervals. My goal for instrument class is to play piano properly.

During theory class, we sang 'Fly me to the Moon' and 'Autumn Leaves'. It was quite fun also because I sang 'Autumn Leaves' last year. I was quite good at the singing since it was easy for me to follow the notes. I also learned about syncopation. During instrument class, I managed to learn all the chord progression.

In theory class, we discussed the assessments and tasks that we need to do in this semester. In instrument class, I learned to play simple shord progression with oth hands though I still need more practice.

During theory class, we sang 'Fly me to the Moon' and were questioned about our instruments. In instruments class, I played simple chord progression with both hands. Now I have to learn broken chord progression.

During theory class, I recounted what I have learned this term. I also planned my research for the individual report. Other than that, I also planned my outline for my research. In insrument class, I played the notes of 'Fly me to the Moon'.

During theory class, we reviewed our task, the individual report, which is due next week. We also saw the BiNus Jazz Society perform in JakJazz. In piano class, I played 'Fly me to the Moon' right hand only and then the same but with chord base notes on my left hand. I still need practice with that.

Today in theory class, we did questions about jazz to see if we're ready for next week's test. I felt that it was quite useful. In instrument class, we were given the notes for the walking base of 'Fly me to the Moon'. I played the song with base notes since I need more practice with the walking base.

Today I submitted my music report and listened to the grading criteria. I also submitted my outline paper. In instrument class, I played 'Fly me to the Moon' with walking chord. I still need practice on that.

Today I was assessed in singing 'Fly me to the Moon' with swing accompaniment. I think I did pretty well but needs improvement at the volume of my voice since it wasn't very loud.

Today we had the written test for theory. I think I did very well in the theory but I'm not sure about the music history.

Today during music class, we all practiced 'Fly me to the Moon' with our instruments. This was to prepare for the practical assessment on the first week of April.

During music class, we saw the showcase of jazz artist. The artist Chick Corea, the pianist and the singer Bobby McFerrin, played 'Autumn Leaves'. Since I was familiar with the song, I was shocked by the changed tempo and tones. Also the amount of improvisation was astounding. We also saw a second performance by Chick Corea on the piano along with some other artists playing th saxophone, guitar, bass and drum. It was an instrumental with Spain chords. Next, we saw Chick Corea with an acoustic trio. The instruments were piano, bass and contrabass. Again Spanish chords were present. The improvisation was done by the contrabass first. It lasted for quite a long time. Then the drummer did the improvisation. Then solo drum. The piano improvisation was combined with a dialogue. The song ended with the main theme involving Spain chords.

Term 3 Reflection
In term 3, I learned a lot of new things. I learned minor natural and harmonic scale, simple chord progression chords, intervals and also jazz songs like 'Autumn Leaves' and 'Fly me to the Moon'. We learned jazz music concepts like syncopation. We were given the notes for 'Fly me to the moon' so we can play it with base chords or walking base. We then learned about jazz artist, instruments, songs, etc. For assessments, we sang 'Fly me to the Moon', made an individual report and the term reflection on what we learned. I felt that I learned a lot of new and important things.
